Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-ProAdapt® 12" Firm Mattress

Construction, dimensions & buying guidance

Quick Recommendation

• Best for: Back and stomach sleepers and anyone who wants a firm, stable all-foam surface.
• May not be ideal for: Side sleepers who need deep shoulder and hip cushioning, or shoppers who prefer a plush, enveloping surface.
• Firmness and feel: Firm, dense TEMPUR support with close-conforming pressure relief. Firmness is subjective, so compare it with the Medium options when possible.

Construction and Feel

The 12-inch TEMPUR-ProAdapt Firm is an all-foam mattress built with TEMPUR comfort and support materials: a ventilated TEMPUR-Material comfort layer (4cm) over an Advanced Relief Material support layer (5cm).

• Comfort material: Ventilated TEMPUR-Material
• Support: Advanced Relief Material — Tempur-Pedic’s most pressure-relieving material
• Cover: Removable SmartClimate cover with a cool-to-touch surface
• Profile: 12 inches

Performance Overview

• Recommended sleep positions: Primarily back and stomach sleepers; combination sleepers who prefer a firmer surface may also want to compare it.
• Pressure relief: Advanced Relief Material delivers advanced pressure relief while the firm build keeps support closer to the surface.
• Cooling: The ventilated comfort layer adds breathability and the cover is designed to feel cool to the touch, but this is not a Breeze-series mattress. Shoppers who sleep especially warm should compare it with TEMPUR-Pedic cooling collections.
• Motion isolation: The all-foam construction generally limits movement across the bed and can suit couples with different schedules.
• Edge support: The edge has a softer foam feel than many coil-forward mattresses. Sit and lie near the perimeter in the showroom if edge stability matters to you.
• Responsiveness: Expect a slower response and a firmer, more stable hug than a hybrid or latex mattress.

Adjustable-Base Compatibility

This flexible all-foam construction is designed for use with compatible flat foundations and adjustable bases. Confirm the required support, size, and current warranty terms for the exact mattress and base combination before purchasing.

Texan Mattress Recommendation

Start with the TEMPUR-ProAdapt Firm and compare it directly with the other ProAdapt feels and a hybrid so you can judge contouring, movement, and edge stability for yourself.
